Thank you for choosing Dallas Center-Grimes Community School District. We are looking forward to partnering with you in your child’s education. Register your child by following the instructions provided below.  Please use a laptop or desktop computer to complete the online registration. Mobile devices are not compatible with this process. If you need access to a computer, please stop by any one of our buildings for assistance. Registration Process for Existing Students 
(Student(s) currently attending DCG) 

  • Required items needed to register a new student: copy of student’s immunization record.
  • Registration opens March 1st for the following school year.
  • Four-year-old preschool registration needs to be completed by March 18th to guarantee your child a spot. If there are more registrations than anticipated, you will be placed on a waiting list.
  • Three-year-old preschool registration needs to be completed by March 18th to be included in the random placement system. You will be notified if your child will be enrolled.

Step 1: Updating Infinite Campus

  • Log in through the Parent Portal. Find the tab on the left that says, “More”, then select Online Registration from the menu. If you do not have a Parent Portal login, please click here.

Step 2: Pay Fees

  • Fees are available for payment for each school year on July 1.
  • Log in through the RevTrak site (online payments)
  • Pay all outstanding fees before your child starts school.
  • Optional: Book fee waiver forms and free and reduced lunch forms will be available for each school year starting July 1. Electronic copies can be found by clicking on the forms page under the registration tab on our website.
  • Hard copies of the book fee waiver and the free and reduced application may be picked up at each building.

Step 3: Athletic Registration/rSchool Today (For students 7-12 participating in athletics)

Step 1: Infinite Campus

  • Complete the online registration available here. Be sure to select the correct school year you are registering for.
  • You will be sent an email when your application is approved with a link to sign up for your Parent Portal account and RevTrak. The Parent Portal is a website that can be used to view your child’s school information and RevTrak is a site to pay your school fees.

Step 2: Pay Fees

  • For the current school year, log in through the RevTrak site site (online payments). You will need to create a parent portal access account.
  • Fees are available for payment for each school year on July 1.
  • Pay all outstanding fees before your child starts school.
  • Book fee waiver forms and free and reduced lunch forms will be available for each school year starting July 1st. Forms will be available online and at each building. Apply for the 2020 – 2021 Book Fee Waiver and 2020 – 2021 Free and Reduced Application forms by using the links provided or by requesting a hard copy of each form in your child’s building.

Athletic Registration new for the 2020-2021 School Year *** To register your 7-12 grader in rSchoolToday for athletics click here. Follow these instructions to set up an account and upload the proper forms through rSchoolToday.

Registration Forms 

Dental Form: Required for Optional Kindergarten, Kindergarten (if student did not attend Opt Kdg), and 9th grade.
Return the completed form to your child’s school office.
Vision Form: Required for Optional Kindergarten, Kindergarten (if student did not attend Opt Kdg), and 3rd grade.
Return the completed form to your child’s school office.
Physical Form: Required for all students grades 7-12 who are in athletics. You may print this to take to your appointment.  You will upload this form when you register your athlete on rSchool Today.

Open Enrollment:  Open enrollment is requesting to attend school in a school district other than your resident school district. A form must be filed with the resident and receiving district by March 1 for the following schools years enrollment for students in grades 1-12. The deadline is September 1 of the school year of enrollment for students in optional kindergarten or kindergarten. The Dallas Center-Grimes Community School District moved to neighborhood elementary schools in fall of 2017. The elementary school that your child attends is determined by your housing location. To view our school map and district boundaries, click here. Please note: due to maximum enrollment numbers your child may be placed in an alternate elementary building.

Dallas Center Elementary: All housing West of County Line Road.
North Ridge Elementary: Housing located North of Highway 44/1st Street and West of James Street
Heritage Elementary: Housing located North of Highway 44/1st Street, and East of James Street to Highway 141
South Prairie: Housing located South of Highway 44/1st Street, between Highway 141 and County Line Road.
