Welcome to Dallas Center Elementary! DCE opened in 2001 and is one of four elementary schools in the Dallas Center-Grimes Community School District. We are located at 1205 13th Street in Dallas Center, Iowa. Our school is home to approximately 287 students in Kindergarten through fourth grade.
At Dallas Center Elementary, we place student well-being, learning, and helping each student take charge of their future as our primary focus. Our focus on PRIDE provides everyone at DCE with common expectations and a common language so that we are able to collaboratively establish a welcoming and kind environment which promotes a strong culture and positive learning environment.

With our strong emphasis on meeting the needs of all students through differentiated instruction and research-based practices, students at DCE are accountable for their learning and are proud to see their progress.
DCE staff are dedicated to professional growth & development as they regularly collaborate in professional learning communities (PLC’s), aimed at continuous improvement in the areas of teaching and learning. Our District Model guides our teachers’ work in the classroom by focusing on the 3 C’s:

Our school offers additional support services in the areas of Literacy Support, Special Education, Extended Learning, English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), and American Sign Language (ASL).
