About
Welcome to Heritage Elementary! Heritage opened in 2017 and is one of four elementary schools in the Dallas Center-Grimes Community School District. We are located at 500 NE Beaverbrooke Blvd in Grimes, Iowa. Heritage is home to approximately 350 students in kindergarten through fourth grade. Preschool is also offered at Heritage Elementary.
At Heritage Elementary, students are empowered to be reflective citizens with a positive mindset focused on continued learning and growth. Our shared vision is “Growing Together to be Our BEST!” We strive to help students be responsible, extend kindness, show respect, and think with an open mind.
Heritage staff are dedicated to professional growth and development as they regularly collaborate in professional learning communities aimed at continuous improvement in the areas of teaching and learning. Our District Model guides our teachers’ work in the classroom by focusing on the 3 C’s:

Our school offers additional support services in the following areas: Special Education, Extended Learning Program, English for Speaker of Other Languages (ESOL), and American Sign Language (ASL).
