Sale of Used Technology Devices
The Dallas Center-Grimes School District (“District”) is requesting bids from those persons interested in purchasing approximately 500 MacBook computers, iPads, Chromebooks, and other technology devices (the “Devices”). A list of devices and available serial numbers are attached.
The Devices will be sold “AS IS,” with no warranties or representations as to their condition, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose. Any bid submitted for the purchase of the Devices must waive all warranties, including any warranties implied by law.
All offers to buy the Devices must be made using the attached Agreement and Bill of Sale, without modification except to insert the price being offered and the name of the Buyer. Partial offers for specific Devices may be entertained if accompanied with line-item pricing. However, preference will be given to selling all technology through a single sale.
By submitting an offer, the offeror is warranting it has sufficient funds or pre-approved financing for the purchase price offered, which representation is subject to confirmation by the District. In addition to submitting a proposed bid on the attached Bill of Sale, each bidder must submit evidence of a current R2, e-Stewards, or similar certification to ensure that any data remaining on the Computers is handled according to state and federal law.

Inspections of the Devices may be arranged by appointment until February 16, 2024.
Offers may be submitted electronically by emailing steven.hopper@dcgschools.com with the subject line “DCG DEVICE OFFER.” Offers are also accepted in-person at 2405 W 1st Street, Grimes, IA, 50111. In-person offers must be enclosed and sealed in an envelope plainly marked with the words: “DCG DEVICE OFFER.”
No offeror may withdraw its offer after the scheduled time for receipt of offers.
The District reserves the right to request additional information for the evaluation of the offers received. The District reserves the right to reject any or all offers and to waive irregularities in any offer and to enter into an agreement, with or without modification, as shall be deemed to be in the best interests of the District.
