According to the unofficial results released by Dallas County and Polk County, the Dallas Center-Grimes 2025 Bond referendum passed with an overwhelming majority. There were 2,911 total votes cast, 2,163 (75%) were in favor of the DCG CSD Bond Referendum. The 75% approval rate was the highest of any central Iowa school district that asked voters to approve a bond referendum in 2025.
This referendum will impact our students and future Mustangs. The expansion and renovation of Dallas Center-Grimes High School will alleviate our capacity issues while enhancing our programming and course offerings. Inclusive playgrounds will be installed at five of our buildings, ensuring that all of our students can connect with their classmates at recess. We will improve the safety and security measures at several of our buildings. Every single cent will be spent with our students in mind.
“The success of the 2025 DCG Bond Referendum is great news for our entire district. This plan will impact every single student at Dallas Center-Grimes! We are blown away by the voter turnout of nearly 3,000 and an overwhelming positive response of a 75% yes vote. We heard our community loud and clear. The support you’ve shown us once again is a firm reminder that we are partners in this work, and together, our district will continue to create incredible learning experiences for our students. Every single cent of this money will be used with our students and staff in mind. They are the backbone of what we do every single day!
