Our Community & Mission

The communities of Dallas Center and Grimes have a combined population of over 14,000 people. DCG employs just over 450 dedicated staff members. The Dallas Center-Grimes Community School District’s Central Administration Office houses the Superintendent, as well as Financial and Employee services. You will be able to conduct business at this office with the following departments: Superintendent, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Finance and Business Services, Enrollment, Human Resources, and Operations.

The mission of DCG CSD is, “Empowering Students to Take Charge of Their Future!”  Our administration and teachers strive to provide students with unique and high quality learning opportunities. Our goal is to maintain a small district feel amidst rapid growth, while achieving big district accomplishments.

DCG staff are dedicated to professional growth & development as they regularly collaborate in professional learning communities (PLC’s), aimed at continuous improvement in the areas of teaching and learning. Our District Model guides our teachers’ work in the classroom by focusing on the 3 C’s:
