Dallas Center-Grimes CSD Earns “High Performing” Rating

The Iowa Department of Education released district ratings as part of the 2024-2025 Iowa School Performance Profiles. Dallas Center-Grimes CSD received a “High Performing” rating, placing our district in the top 25% of districts in Iowa! DCG’s score of 71.26% (641.38 out of 900 possible points) is 8% better than the statewide average in the 2025 reporting year! 

These profiles are a measure of schools across the state based on several data sources. The Iowa Department of Education builds its rating on core indicators such as state assessment results (ISASP), chronic absenteeism, and, for high school (grades 9-12), graduation rates and postsecondary readiness.   • Dallas Center-Grimes CSD is one of only 23 districts in Iowa to have a school receive an “exceptional” designation. 
  • Dallas Center-Grimes CSD placed four schools in the top two categories – “exceptional” and “high performing” – representing the top 20% of scores in the state. 
  • Dallas Center-Grimes CSD is a statewide leader in several reporting areas (some are outlined below).

“Earning a ‘high performing’ rating is a direct result of staff and students working together to achieve learning outcomes that continually raise the bar,” shares Dallas Center-Grimes CSD Superintendent Dr. Scott Blum. “I see firsthand the passion with which our staff pushes student learning and the desire our students have to further their understanding.”
