Dallas Center-Grimes CSD would like to extend our immense gratitude to every Veteran in our community and across the country. Veterans Day is a time to reflect on the courage, sacrifice, and dedication of those who have defended our nation’s freedoms — and our students, staff, and families joined in heartfelt gratitude. We also have several Veterans serving on Team DCG. We are so proud to recognize the heroes among us.

Dear Veterans, Thank You
We are so thankful for the opportunity to partner with Hy-Vee in Grimes for our annual tradition of honoring our Veterans with cards from our students. Watch the video below as students from Dallas Center Elementary share their thanks with our Veterans.
Veterans Day at DCG
We honored our Veterans at several Veterans Day events across our district. This is a special way for our students and staff to connect with the heroes living with us. Guest speakers included local veterans and family members who shared their experiences and messages of hope, resilience, and service. Their stories reminded everyone that freedom is not free — it is protected every day by the courage of those who serve.
