Crisis & Advocacy Services
- Polk County Crisis & Advocacy Services (PCCAS) provides free, voluntary, confidential services to victims of crime in Polk County regardless of race, gender, age, ethnicity, sexual orientation, physical or mental disabilities. We provide crisis intervention and on-going supportive services to victims regardless of law enforcement involvement or length of time since the assault or abuse.

Please find important documents regarding free and reduced meals on the Nutrition Services page. These forms must be printed and turned into the district administration offices or your child’s school building. You can also find paper copies in the school offices to be filled out.
Options are available through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program.

The Health Navigation program is available to all Dallas County residents. Health Navigators connect clients with resources to meet their needs. This may include filling out paperwork, completing phone calls, or learning how to navigate the healthcare system. The program aims to help clients improve their overall quality of life and advocate for their own health needs.

EveryStep assists uninsured and underinsured children and pregnant women sign up for health insurance through Medicaid or Hawki to find a doctor and dentist. Assistance from EveryStep is free and available year-round. Staff who serve families in Polk and Dallas counties speak English and Spanish. Other languages are served by interpreters from EveryStep’s Interpretation Program.
