Meet DCG Preschool Director: Patty Morris

My name is Patty Morris, and I am so excited and honored to serve as the Preschool Director for the district.

I earned my teaching degree from Northwest Missouri State University with a major in both elementary and early childhood education, and my Masters of Administration through Iowa State University several years later.  I’ve had the opportunity to teach not only in Iowa, but also in Virginia. I’ve had the honor of working in both rural and urban school districts. I’ve taught everything from 1st through 8th grades, been a curriculum coordinator for a consortium of 8 schools, and have previous experience as a Junior High Principal, before serving as Elementary Principal in Corning and then here at DCG. During some of my years, I’ve had a dual role as not only a principal, but also a junior high teacher and Curriculum Coordinator all at the same time. These experiences have all helped me to learn and grow into the person I am today.

Patty Morris is also the principal at South Prairie Elementary.
