Roxanne Cumings will be returning to DCG CSD as our Director of Student Services for the 2024-25 school year.
Cumings joined Dallas Center-Grimes CSD in August of 2023 and immediately made an impact. She’s formed incredible partnerships with all of our stakeholders.
“I’m so inspired by the work we are completing at DCG,” Cumings says. “I’m honored to continue this important collaboration as we advocate for all students.”
Cumings has worked to align 504 procedures across DCG CSD, while also spending intentional time with teachers in all seven district buildings. Her work includes an emphasis on our special education programming along with outreach within our EL and TAG programs.
“Roxanne’s work has been paramount to our growth as a district in the last calendar year,” shares DCG Superintendent Dr. Scott Blum. “She is a servant leader and has earned the respect of everyone on our team.”
Before joining DCG, she spent 12 years as the Executive Director of Student Services in the Waukee Community School District. She also has principal experience at the elementary level and has served for several years as a State Special Education Mediator.
