Dallas Center-Grimes is excited to introduce Roxanne Cumings as our district’s new Interim Director of Student Services, pending DCG School Board approval. Cumings comes to DCG with an extensive background in Student Services/Special Education. She spent 12 years as the Executive Director of Student Services in the Waukee Community School District. Cumings also has principal experience at the elementary level.
“Advocating for students and families is at the core of who I am,” Cumings shares. “I’m also passionate about making sure that teachers, staff and administrators have the tools and skills they need to meet the diverse needs of students.”
Roxanne developed an LLC called “Creative Community Options” where she provides consultative support to school districts in Iowa. Her professional background will be a tremendous asset to the team at DCG CSD.
“Roxanne is a rock star!” shares Dr. Scott Blum, DCG Interim Superintendent. “She is a servant leader and will be a tremendous asset to everyone in our district.”
Cumings will join our team on August 1.
