At Dallas Center-Grimes CSD, we believe every student should leave high school prepared to pursue a meaningful future. Postsecondary readiness means equipping students with the knowledge, skills, experiences, and confidence they need to successfully navigate life after graduation—whatever path they choose.

For some students, that may mean attending a four-year university. For others, it may mean pursuing a community college degree, career and technical education, apprenticeship, military service, or entering the workforce.

There is no single definition of success after high school. Our responsibility is to make sure students are prepared for the opportunities that are right for them. Because preparing students for their future means preparing them not just to graduate—but to create their future.

SchooLinks is our district’s post-secondary planning platform with more than 80 features to support students and counseling staff. 

SchooLinks is a modern, college and career readiness platform to help students discover their interests and strengths and prepare them for what comes after graduation. SchooLinks is accessible by 5-12 grade students, their parents and guardians, and school staff.

School-to-Work

Seniors at Dallas Center-Grimes High School have the opportunity to participate in the school-to-work program. After enrolling in the class, students spend the first term learning about job readiness skills and workforce preparation. During the next three terms, students receive on-the-job training while teaming up with our community partners. We’d like to thank our most recent list of school-to-work community partners.
