Students at Dallas Center-Grimes Middle School wrapped up their 12 Days of Giving this week. This was a time for students to celebrate the season, by spreading joy to everyone they meet. The project was highlighted by a record donation to the Dallas Center Food Pantry. Students donated 3,285 food items to the food pantry, the largest donation in single-day history at the store. These students made a lasting impact in their community. We invite you to watch the video associated with this story to hear why this was important for our students to be involved in. The DCG Middle School team would like to thank Hy-Vee for their contributions to this project. Mr. Heinemann (5th grade) and Mr. White’s (6th grade) homeroom brought in the most donations, so they got to drop off the food at the food pantry!
