Deb Cale

My name is Debra Cale, and I am so excited and honored to serve as the principal of Dallas Center Elementary. This is my sixth year as DCE’s building principal.

I earned my teacher degree from the University of Iowa with a BS in Secondary Special Education and taught in Austin, Texas for nine years before returning to Iowa. I then attended Iowa State University where I earned an MS in Curriculum Instructional Technology. I worked at the Area Education Agency 11 for six years as a school improvement consultant. During this time I earned my Reading Endorsement from Drake University. I worked for twelve in another district as a Curriculum Specialist and Director of Teaching and Learning. During this time I earned my Principal Licensure from Iowa State University. I joined the DCG family in 2017.

When I am not at school I love spending time with my family, walking our two Golden Doodles, traveling, watching movies, and playing games or putting puzzles together.

I am very blessed to have the opportunity to work with such an amazing staff at DCE. They all are so caring and collaborative, always going above and beyond to ensure student needs are met. DCG has the best students and families in the universe. I feel very lucky to have a place here in the DCG family!

Principal Cale is also the Preschool Director at DCG.
