April Heitland

Welcome to North Ridge Elementary! My name is April Heitland and I am the Principal at North Ridge Elementary. I received my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education at Buena Vista University and my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership at Northwest Missouri State University.  My husband Scott also teaches and coaches in the Dallas Center-Grimes School District. In April 2009 we were blessed with our first child, Chase. Our family welcomed our second son, Andrew, in May 2014. Our family lives in Grimes and we love to spend time with family and friends, play outside, and cheer on the Iowa Hawkeyes and of course the Mustangs and Fillies.

It is my belief that we are working together as partners in the education of your child. There is nothing more important to me than the well being of your child. I will do all that we can so that we have a successful year.
