Requests for Proposals (RFP) or Requests for Quotes (RFQ)
A request for proposal (RFP) or request for quote (RFQ) is a solicitation made through a bidding process to procure a service or valuable asset. The RFP or RFQ process brings structure to the decision-making process and helps to identify the risks and benefits upfront. Notice to Vendors – 800 11.6″ Touchscreen Clamshell Chromebooks and Chrome Management Licenses
The Dallas Center – Grimes Community School District (DCG) is requesting proposals for 800 11.6″ Touchscreen Clamshell Chromebooks and Chrome Management Licenses to refresh our existing fleet of 1:1 student devices. This RFP is manufacturer-neutral. The district will consider any new Chromebooks that meet the minimum specifications listed below. Bids for used or refurbished devices will not be considered. Pricing, standard warranty, AUE date, ease of repairability, and company experience will be the primary factors in awarding the proposal.
Minimum Device Specifications:
- Form Factor: Clamshell
- Memory: 8GB Memory, 64GB Storage
- Screen: 11.6″ Touch HD
- Ports: Minimum 2 USB-C Ports, 3.5mm Audio/Headphone Combo Jack
- Wireless: Minimum support for Wi-Fi 6E
- Google Chrome Management Console License (Qty. 800)
Proposals will be accepted either electronically or in writing until 3:00 PM CST on Friday, May 8, 2026 with the intent to award the recommended vendor at the May 18 meeting of the DCG Board of Education.
