Here are the unofficial results from the 2023 DCG School Board Election. We expect to have official results in the next couple of weeks. We anticipate having the new DCG School Board members sworn in on November 27 at our next School Board Meeting.

There are four open seats on the DCG School Board: At-large, At-large, District 3, District 4. Here are the names that will appear on the ballot.
At-Large School Board Candidates (select two) – Ryan Carpenter, Matthew Moran, Shaylee Vander Velden
District 3 (residents in District 3 will select one) – Nancy Baker Curtis, Kim Praska
District 4 (residents in District 4 will select one) – Sean Cully, Meg Dickinson
DCG School Board Candidate Forum – Thursday, November 2
As a reminder, here is the DCG School Board Director District Map. District 3 is the area in/around South Prairie Elementary and District 4 is the area in/around Dallas Center Elementary and into the western edge of Grimes.
Voting for the 2023 DCG School Board Election will take place on Tuesday, November 7. Please click here to find your voting location.
Dallas Center-Grimes CSD will be hosting a School Board Candidate Forum on Thursday, November 2 inside the DCG High School Auditorium. The event will be published on our district’s YouTube site the following day.
We are also hosting a DCG CSD Community Town Hall on Thursday, November 2. Members of the DCG CSD Administration team will be present to answer questions that have been submitted by our community. We hope you can join us for both events!
